Talent is Jex Opolis’ middle name. He’s def one of my favorite producers at the moment. This Earth Boy, the first single out on Dekmantel label, is pure gold: layers of melodic synths over an electro piece.

Essa aqui dá pra chamar de uma das primeiras grandes músicas de 2019. Um quase italo-disco com cheiro de synth-pop oitentista que toca fundo na alma.

Esse é só seu segundo EP mas o projeto Bruxas tem se mostrado competente demais. É música tropical feita com synths incomuns, batidas de vários cantos do mundo, com alma psicodélica. A faixa título, em sua versão club, é super bola dentro!

This is only its second EP but this project called Bruxas has been producing some quality stuff. They make tropical music with peculiar synths, beats from various corners of the world, and psychedelic vibes. The title track, in its club version, is pure gold!

Pra gente que é super fã de música balearic esse EP do projeto Bruxas vem em super boa hora. Bruxas é a dupla Jacco Gardner e Nic Mauskovic reunindo referências de soundtracks dos 70s, afro e disco. Esse EP marca o debut dos caras, é incrível e sai pelo selo Dekmantel. Tiro certeiro.

O espertíssimo produtor Awanto 3 tá parindo seu segundo álbum chamado Gargamel que, sim, é um nome inspirado nos Smurfs. A faixa que abre o LP, por exemplo, leva o nome do gato do vilão. Homenzinhos azuis a parte, Azrael é um deep hipnótico de diferentes moods interessantíssimos. Promete muito esse disco!

Amazing producer Awanto 3 is giving birth to his second album called Gargamel which, yes, was inspired by Smurfs cartoon. The LP opening track, for example, has the same name from Gargamel's cat. Well, tiny blue men apart, Azrael is a hypnotic deep tune with some interesting moods. Looking forward to hear the whole thing!

Porra, 2016 foi um ano estranho pra caraleo. Cheio de tretas, retrocessos políticos e muita gente legal partindo dessa pra uma melhor. Então o que a gente fez? Se jogou na pista pra esquecer de tudo. Essa é uma das coisas mais bonitas que você vai ouvir essa semana. Vem do espertíssimo selo Dekmantel e tem um quê de Isoolé e Floating Points nessa faixa. Eletrônica de texturas e camadas variadas, todas funcionando muito bem juntas.

Fiervo's Best Of 2015

Fim de ano aí e é hora daquela retrospectiva das músicas boas que passaram pelo case mas não sairam da cabeça. As 35 faixas abaixo ilustram bonito meu 2015, dentro daquele universo disco, house, balearic e afins que você já tá ligado. Há nomes que têm aparecido quase todo ano: Floating Points, Todd Terje, Andrés... E tem uma turma nova fazendo um bom contra-ponto. Afro e outras sonoridades de diferentes cantos do mundo também marcam presença. E tem até faixa de 2004 na lista: o hino What A Girl's To Do, do Fatima Yamaha, que passou batido há 10 anos atrás mas ressussitou agora pra valer.
